The Sooke Soccer Club has a significant local presence, with teams competing in the Vancouver Island Soccer League (VISL).

Sooke has two distinct “tribes”: the youth fastpitch community and the massive adult slo-pitch scene.

Hockey is a popular and growing sport in Sooke with the Sooke Minor Hockey Association experiencing a significant increase in registration in recent years.

Sooke is moving from being a “travel-only” sport to having its own dedicated local programs thanks to the new outdoor box.

Currently, Sooke does not have its own standalone rugby club. Local players typically play for Westshore RFC in Colwood or participate in school programs and regional camps.
