Sports in Sooke April 11th 2026 – Blue Devils Junior Football Home Opener & Horseshoe Club Active

This weekend was overcast with a bit of drizzle but it didn’t stop sports activities from proceeding in Sooke. After our customary stop at Tim Horton’s for coffee we dropped by EMCS where the Blue Devils Junior Football program were having their home opener. They were hosting the Spartans from Victoria. There was a good crowd on hand and the EMCS parking lot was full. We took a number of photos of the first game, we’re guessing the Atom age group (7-9). Afterwards we dropped by the Horseshoe Pitching Association to get some photos of their renovations, scroll to the end to see those. If you use photos, please give credit to sookesports.ca in your posts.

Headlining yesterday’s event to open the Sooke Community Sport Box at Raven’s Ridge Park was Premier John Horgan who is MLA for Langford-Juan de Fuca where Sooke is the core of his base.”
